After the northbound lane, the next construction site and thus roadblock is now on the Voest Bridge with the southbound lane. From tomorrow, Wednesday morning, the lanes on the main bridge to the south will be closed due to renovation work, Asfinag informed today. The ban will remain in place until December 2023.
Traffic is also being routed to three narrowed lanes on the bypass bridge upstream from the Danube. Asfinag is asking you to plan more time for the journey in the first few days of the new construction site situation.
A total of around 45 million euros will be invested by Asfinag in 2022 and 2023 in the renewal of the infrastructure of the Linz city motorway. As reported, the construction of the bypass bridges (from 2018 to 2020) was an essential prerequisite for the renovation of the main bridge.
