The 31-year-old fell on the track of the U4 with his scooter shortly before 7 p.m. A train entering the station could not stop in time despite emergency braking.
The man was run over by the garrison and suffered serious injuries to his upper body and legs. According to professional rescue spokesman Andreas Huber, there was no danger to life in an initial assessment. The U4 station was closed until around 8 p.m. Wiener Linien appealed to its passengers not to drive scooters on the platforms.
