When you think of an orchestra, the first thing that comes to mind is probably string and wind instruments. A very special kind of orchestra has also established itself at the Linz Music School: the “FeelSaitig” guitar orchestra. With great commitment, our guitar teachers have succeeded in creating a body of sound with their students that is not only worth hearing, but also gives the participants a pleasant sense of community.
And because the existing sheet music for guitar orchestra is manageable, the teachers often arrange the pieces for the guitar orchestra themselves. With great know-how and a dash of irony, how today’s advent calendar window opens.
Wolfgang Sambs gave “O Tannenbaum” a rather Slavic rhythmic accent in the minor key.
