The Social Democratic Union (FSG) was newly formed in the Perg region. The delegates unanimously elected Josef Kastner as chairman, who took over this position from Gaby Auinger. Kastner is the chairman of the works council at Hueck Folien in Baumgartenberg and lives with his family in Saxen.
The main concern of the red trade unionists is the fight against inflation. This was also underlined by the SPÖ state party chairman Michael Lindner, who was the main speaker. There was also loud criticism of the merger of the health insurance companies to form the nationwide ÖGK. “The reserves of the Upper Austrian regional health insurance fund, which belonged to us insured persons, are gone. And we were also deprived of a say in our services,” criticized Kastner.
