Benkos Signa sells the Rossmarkthöfe project in Sankt Pölten

The real estate group Signa of the investor Rene Benko said goodbye to the 100 million euro project a few days ago, Signa confirmed this week.

The Niederösterreichische Nachrichten had previously reported that Benko may have lost interest in the city district given the tedious path through authorities and the building advisory board. The buyer was “a well-known developer,” it said. The change in the zoning plan is fixed, the new investor can start demolition work immediately and hope for a building permit soon.

Originally, shops, offices, apartments as well as a hotel and a restaurant were planned for the Rossmarkthöfe. The construction work should take three years.
