The climate active conference of the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences on the Wels campus recently revolved around these and other questions.
The conference took place for the twelfth time. The focus was on the projects awarded the “State Prize for Architecture and Sustainability” from 2006 to 2021. Franziska Trebut from the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology reported on her experiences with the State Prize. Herbert Leindecker from the Wels campus gave an overview of the projects.
The highlights included the “Vienna Residential Project”, the energy system of the “Smart-Block Geblergasse Wien”, the renovated “Stadthaus Lederergasse” in Linz and the Ikea furniture store at Vienna’s Westbahnhof. The architects Johannes Zeininger, Katharina Bayer, Gunar Wilhelm and engineer Peter Holzer were there.
