The 37-year-old Syrian drove a car on the B125 towards Linz shortly after 8 p.m. He left the road in the village of Galgenau, probably because he was not driving at the right speed combined with worn winter tires. The vehicle crashed into a water culvert. The driver was able to get out of the car himself. After first aid, he was taken to Freistadt Regional Hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. DThe Kefermarkt fire brigade secured the scene of the accident and recovered the car.
