There, where an accident happened just three weeks ago, there was another crash on Sunday around 6 p.m.: A car collided with a train at an unrestricted level crossing near the KTM plant in Mattighofen.
According to initial information, the young driver, who was alone in the car, survived the collision unharmed. But his car was badly damaged. The Mattighofen volunteer fire brigade was alerted to the clean-up work.
The emergency services have already returned to the scene of the accident again and again: there have been several serious accidents in the past at the busy level crossing, which is secured with a stop sign and the Andreas cross, which did not end so lightly.
