In an online survey by the political group, parents of 27 children reported a need for summer care. Due to the range of the survey, the Bürgerliste expects the demand from the general population to be twice as high.
Municipal councilor Julia Grill (b!g), a member of the Generations Committee, is therefore calling for an expansion of care in the summer. “Other communities are much more advanced here,” she says. “As our needs assessment shows, it’s high time we moved here. Especially when both parents work, closed childcare facilities pose an enormous challenge in summer.”
