Detlef Wimmer left Linz city politics at the beginning of 2019. As FP Deputy Mayor, he was responsible for security issues. Wimmer will now become the new board member of Linzer Lokalbahn AG (LILO), which the supervisory board decided at today’s meeting. He follows in this function Friedrich Klug, who passed away in June.
The position was newly advertised by the group of companies of the city of Linz as a part-time job. In the course of the hearing, Wimmer was able to assert himself before a commission, the city of Linz informed in a broadcast.
Wimmer will take up his new position in February 2023 and then manage the fortunes of LILO in coordination with the operations management company Stern&Hafferl Verkehr. At the moment, Wimmer is already working under a work contract with LILO.
The City of Linz owns 54.1 percent of shares in Linzer Lokalbahn AG. Stern & Hafferl holds another major share of 35.3 percent. A share of 10.6 percent is held by municipalities and in free float.
