First highlight in the still young ski jumping season: The ÖSV-Adler start from a good starting position. Stefan Kraft is in excellent form, as is Michael Hayböck from Upper Austria, who delivered two excellent competitions in the mixed competition in Titisee-Neustadt – including a World Cup victory.
Kraft was only beaten by Halvor Egner Granerud in qualifying for the first Engelberg competition on Friday. He was almost eight points behind the Norwegian, but the Salzburger relegated the Polish World Cup leader Dawid Kubacki almost as clearly to third place. The Tyrolean veteran Manuel Fettner was also involved in the elimination for today’s Saturday competition as fifth. We report in the live ticker.
