Shopping center managers spoke of the busiest shopping Saturday before Christmas. Sports shops and shoe retailers in particular benefited from the onset of winter. In the centers like Plus City Pasching, Varena Vöcklabruck, Linzer Passage Center or “Hey!” in Steyr it was very busy, but in the center of Steyr the situation was rather meager. The manager of the Passage Center in Linz, Julia Kretz, reported on brisk business from the morning and really heavy shopping activity from 1 p.m. “People are buying in a targeted manner,” she emphasized, with “fewer showers, more buyers” describing what’s happening well. Lively activity, no crowds in Steyr
