A semi-junction and a new roundabout now connect the B145 with the L1302 Aurachtalstraße and the new Salzkammergutbahn overpass. This guarantees more safety for all road users, said Infrastructure Councilor Günther Steinkellner (FP) at the official release. “The existing congestion-causing railway crossings are a thing of the past. Turning off the B145 – without disrupting the flow of traffic – is now possible.” The two previous level crossings will be replaced by the ÖBB with a level crossing.
In the section at the Haidach junction, the B145 has a traffic volume of around 25,000 vehicles per day. An important goal was therefore to maintain traffic during the entire construction period, which was achieved without any major problems.
