It is traditionally one of the highlights before summer: the Upper Austrian Ball in Vienna. In the coming year, the popular ball event on June 17, 2023, presented by the Upper Austrian News, will celebrate an anniversary – after all, it’s the 120th edition, which this year will once again fill the festive halls and the arcaded courtyard of the Vienna City Hall with Upper Austria’s joie de vivre.
Popular Christmas present
Advance ticket sales started just in time for Christmas this week. So if you want to increase the anticipation for the event in the form of a gift, you will already find what you are looking for at oberoesterreicherball.at. The first program information is already promising: With Julian le Play, a well-known local singer could be won for the traditional event. In addition to the musicians and artists, other highlights of the ball are the first-class gastro producers who will bring Upper Austrian music, culture and enjoyment to the federal capital. The organizers want to announce specific names in the coming weeks.
The Upper Austrian Ball took place for the first time in its history in Vienna City Hall in 2018. After that there was a three-year break due to the pandemic before the event could take place again this year in May in the venerable halls.
The event is considered a homage to our federal state and is intended to convey a strong sign of life from our compatriots in Vienna.
