VP, SP and FUFU agreed on “agenda” until 2027

The FUFU voter group probably earned the name “Pirate List” because its leader, Martin Dowalil, likes to wear an armband with the skull and crossbones of the St. Pauli football club. Having matured into a list of citizens through factual work, she was the contact person for Mayor Werner Krammer (VP) in addition to the SP in search of a majority that the WVP had lost in the municipal elections in January. The framework for a joint program for the three factions was in place a few weeks after the election. The detailed elaboration was then delayed by the corona pandemic and the consequences of the Russian attack on Ukraine throughout Europe. “Because of the inflation, we had to make new decisions,” explains Krammer. Now the pact is in the towel. In a joint press conference, Krammer, Dowalil and SP Deputy Mayor Armin Bahr presented a joint “agenda” up to the year 2027. Programmatically, Krammer reflected the VP in the focus on economic development (Kreilhof business area and the Beta Campus). Bahr complained about social issues, such as the plan to extend the opening hours of the kindergartens into the afternoon without additional costs for the parents, for the SP. Housing developers should also be obliged, as in London, to rent some of the apartments cheaper for those on lower incomes, if the city itself does not construct municipal buildings.

Dowalil anchored climate protection and ecological change in the “agenda”. He had achieved a housing needs test to postpone the sealing of further land.
