He walked along the Westbahn tracks around 5 p.m., the police reported. Fortunately, the young man survived the accident, but had to be taken to the nearby Salzkammergut Clinic in Vöcklabruck by ambulance. The Westbahn route was closed to all train traffic until around 5:38 p.m. Chaos had already prevailed on the western railway line after the Linz main station was shut down due to an overhead line fault.
