Sovereign Black Wings

The Steinbach Black Wings also won the third ice hockey duel of the season with Ljubljana. After two close affairs (3:2 a. P. and 5: 4) it was a crystal clear affair in the last league match before Christmas Eve. The people of Linz got the upper hand in front of 2465 spectators with 5: 1 (2: 0, 2: 0, 1: 1), which was also due to some returnees.

For example Niklas Bretschneider, who after his detour to the red-white-red national team thanked him for his line-up in the one formation and contributed the goal to make it 3-0 (28th). Most of the evening’s points went to Black Wings top scorer Michael Haga, who was credited with three assists after two appearances for Norway’s national team last week.

That was not the only thing that coach Philipp Lukas liked. His team is difficult to calculate, as five different goalscorers prove. In addition to Bretschneider, Graham Knott (8th), Brian Lebler (12th), Logan Roe (32nd) and Shawn St-Amant (48th) scored. On December 26th (5:30 p.m.) we continue at home against the reigning champions Salzburg, who the Linz team have initially relegated from fourth place in the table.
