From January 1, 2023, plug-in hybrids will no longer be supported, the purchase premium for pure electric vehicles will be reduced from 9,000 to 6,750 euros. In 2024 only 4500 euros will be paid out. This reduction will have an impact especially in the small and compact vehicle segments, says auto expert Ferdinand Dudenhöffer. Instead of the targeted 15 million e-vehicles in 2030, the Duisburg resident expects “a maximum of 50 percent of this value”. The target is “missed with a crash”.
