It was 1996 when Sailer bought the now record-breaking Christmas tree in Hofkirchen in the Traunkreis. He still owns it today – and although the color of the tree needles has now changed from green to brown, according to the 65-year-old, that won’t change anytime soon: “He’ll stay my whole life. And then hopefully mine will be mine take care of granddaughter.”
