The two young people had gone over the right-hand edge in the middle of the runway and had a fall. As a result, both fell over mountain pastures and meadows that were partly interspersed with stones and barely covered with snow. Despite resuscitation measures, they died at the scene of the accident.
Previously, first responders had immediately started the first aid measures and set the rescue chain in motion, the police reported. The crew of two rescue helicopters finally continued the resuscitation – but without success. According to witnesses, the two Germans had been traveling at very high speed on the red runway.
