The decision was made in October by the Linz AG Supervisory Board: the construction of the new indoor swimming pool in Ebelsberg will be postponed for years. The reason for this are the planned investments by Linz AG in the energy transition, which were brought forward due to the war in Ukraine. “It’s not possible to do everything together,” says the office of Mayor Klaus Luger (SP).
Opening planned for 2026
The original plan was to complete construction by 2026. 26 million euros were estimated for 2020. It is not yet clear how long the Ebelsbergers will have to wait for their indoor pool.
