At the end of November, the Federal Asylum Agency wanted to deport the 21-year-old Russian peace activist Daria Kuklina (21), who had fled to Austria from the Putin regime, to Italy, but this was stopped after protests – OÖN reported. The asylum procedure is still open, but the authorities have now approved that the IT student can move from the asylum home to private accommodation.
Daria now lives in Linz in a dormitory. This means that basic services are dispensed with and there are no costs for the state, emphasizes JKU Professor Thomas Gegenhuber. Now private support the peace activist. The Lions Gallneukirchen donated 2000 euros, which can be used to finance six months of home rent plus savings vouchers.
