Police officers became aware of the driver on the B139 late Wednesday afternoon because of his conspicuous driving style and tried to stop him. The 20-year-old at the wheel of the car ignored the stop sign and drove a few hundred meters further – followed by the police with blue lights – before the officers finally stopped him.
During the check, the reason for the flight quickly became apparent: not only did the 20-year-old from the Linz-Land district not have a driver’s license, he also showed signs of being impaired by narcotics.
During a clinical examination at the Ansfelden police station, the medical officer determined that she was unfit to drive. The driver will be reported to the Linz Land district authority, the police said on Wednesday evening.
