A 40-year-old from Wels will probably lose her driver’s license for a long time: the woman got behind the wheel of her small truck on Friday morning, dead drunk, and drove onto the A1 in the direction of Wels. Her conspicuous driving style immediately drew attention to several road users who raised the alarm via the police emergency call.
A police patrol then stopped the woman from Wels at the Vorchdorf exit and asked her for an alcohol test. The meter showed a value of 2.58 per mil. The woman had to hand in her driver’s license on the spot, police said on Friday afternoon.
