Police officers from the Traun Police Inspectorate carried out traffic controls on Friday at 2 p.m. in Pasching on Pluskaufhausstrasse. A car driver, a 26-year-old Syrian from Steyr, was stopped. His 26-year-old wife and the couple’s two children were also in the car. The children (1 year and 3 weeks old) were both unsecured. When asked about the lack of child safety, the man freaked out and could not be calmed down.
After repeated requests to stop his behavior (his wife was also unsuccessfully asked to have a moderating effect on her husband), arrest had to be threatened. When the arrest was finally pronounced, the 26-year-old wife also started screaming and tried to prevent her husband’s arrest. However, the woman was calmed down again and a little later her husband, who had calmed down on the police station in Traun, picked him up. Both are reported to the Linz-Land district authority several times.
