For a long time on the morning of New Year’s Day it looked as if the title “Austria’s New Year’s Baby 2023” was going to Styria. 40 seconds after midnight, little Johanna was born in the state hospital in Hartberg (nachrichten.at reported). Just a few moments later at 12:01 a.m. Nic was born in Leoben.
But now it’s fixed: The New Year’s baby comes from Wels. Exactly at the turn of the year, Minel saw the light of day in the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic. The girl weighed 4,390 grams at birth and was 57 centimeters tall. Her parents Ahmet and Aynur Hasyalcin live in Wels.
Governor Thomas Stelzer and health officer LH deputy Christine Haberlander congratulated the new parents via mailing. “A lot is different with the New Year’s baby this year too. We would have liked to have visited little Minel and her parents in person. We therefore wish little Minel a good start in life from afar,” they said. The family will be in the coming days received an honorary gift, announced Stelzer and Haberlander.
