Shortly after taking off from the Brunnkogel in the Höllengebirge mountains, a 26-year-old pilot noticed that he had lost too much altitude with his paraglider. Landing at the summit of the Brunnkogel was no longer possible. Landing on a gravel field, he underestimated the rocky terrain and hit his paraglider.
The man was rescued from the emergency helicopter with a rope and then taken to the Salzkammergut Clinic in Gmunden.
