Criticism of the management of Jair Bolsonaro
“For the third time I sympathize with” Parliament to be sworn in as president for which “I want to thank the Brazilian people,” said the new president, who has ruled twice between 2003 and 2010.

The new president of Brazil, promised this Sunday to “rebuild the country together with the Brazilian people”, after the mandate of his archrival, the far-right Jair Bolsonaro.
“The diagnosis we received from the transitional government is disastrous. They emptied health resources, dismantled education, culture, science and technology, destroyed environmental protection”.
Regarding the environment, he assured that the country “does not need to deforest” to promote its agriculture and reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate deforestation in the Amazon.
“It is not necessary to cut down any more trees”, it is enough to “replant the 30 million hectares of degraded land, it is possible to live without cutting down wood, without fires, without invading our biomes,” affirmed Lula bluntly.
Latin American commitment
In his speech, he stated that he will reinforce his foreign policy based on Latin American integration in Mercosur, Unasur and the Brics group, in addition to maintaining an “active and haughty” dialogue with the United States, China and the European Union (EU).
“We must break the isolation to which the country was subjected. We must be the owners of our destiny,” said Lula, who also promised to activate public banks to strengthen the internal consumer market and use the Budget for a new era of industrialization of the greatest economy of Latin America.
