A 30-year-old woman from the Perg district drove her car on the B 124 from Pregarten towards Linz at around 5:40 a.m. on Monday. In Wartberg ob der Aist, she stopped her car to allow a pedestrian to cross the street. A 33-year-old man from the Freistadt district stopped his car directly behind the 30-year-old.
An 18-year-old car driver, also from the Freistadt district, drove his vehicle behind the 33-year-old and was unable to brake in time. He drove into the car in front of him. A subsequent 22-year-old woman, also from the Freistadt district, was also unable to stop in time and crashed into the back of the 18-year-old’s car. The vehicles involved suffered severe damage. The 18-year-old and the 22-year-old were taken to the Freistadt Clinic with unspecified injuries.
