Peru: March for Peace this Tuesday
The National Police of Peru announced that finally will not support the citizen march for peace which will take place this Tuesday throughout the country. They explained in a statement that given the “current situation” they will not offer their support as they had stated they would in order to “avoid misunderstandings”.
The statement noted that it was arranged that the officers “refrain from promoting the active and organized participation of the community in the activities scheduled for Tuesday 3″.
The PNP had announced this morning, through social networks, the call for a “march for peace” throughout the country for tomorrow.
