He gained importance above all with his fountains, which he described as “water stone sculptures”. They can be found in numerous places around the world. Since 2015, his white marble wing has adorned the grave of singer Udo Jürgens in Vienna’s Central Cemetery.
Born in Graz, he also made the gravestone for Helmut Zilk’s honorary grave. Not least thanks to his great sponsor Zilk, there are around 80 of his stone fountains in the federal capital, which honored him with the Golden Medal of Merit in 2019.
