Nursing workers are in demand everywhere. Therefore, in March, the Rohrbach Social Welfare Association will start a training course for home help in cooperation with the old people’s care school. Changers and lateral entrants are also particularly welcome. Within half a year, the participants acquire the necessary knowledge of home help and create the conditions for a secure job in the region.
On March 20th, the training begins in the district old people’s home in Kleinzell. The graduates will be able to take their final exam for home help as early as autumn 2023. The content is conveyed by the state’s care school for the elderly.
With two training days per week, the training is family-friendly. The costs are borne entirely by the state of Upper Austria. In addition to the theoretical training, the participants gain valuable practical experience, for example in the old people’s and nursing homes in the district: These training parts will take place in blocks. In this way, the knowledge acquired can be applied immediately under the guidance of professionals.
In order to enable those interested in home help and nursing professions to start a career at the same time, the Rohrbach Social Welfare Association has already taken on support workers in the living area, i.e. assistants in care, or will fill vacancies there in the future. These new colleagues can also complete the planned course in March.
“But we are also looking for people who are changing careers and career changers: An employment relationship with the social welfare association Rohrbach after the end of the training is possible and desirable,” says Wilbirg Mitterlehner, chairwoman of the social welfare association.
