Her two children, a three-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl, had also been seriously injured in the accident. Two other drivers and a passenger also suffered injuries.
The woman was unable to stop her car in time and ended up crashing into an oncoming car. A 29-year-old driver had previously had to brake due to traffic, according to the police.
