The 61-year-old had not heard from his brother-in-law since New Year’s Day and was increasingly concerned. On Thursday he alerted two police officers. They came to the man’s house to see. The 61-year-old smashed a window from the outside to give the police officers access. All the rooms were deserted – except for the locked bedroom. One of the two police officers kicked it in. The 56-year-old lay gasping on the ground; the second policeman immediately alerted the rescue and the emergency doctor. The man was taken to the hospital.
