Innviertler died in car accident in the Waldviertel

Around 10:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man from the Zwettl district drove his car in the Langschlag community on a freight path. For an unknown reason, he left the roadway in a right-hand bend, the car skidded, rolled over and crashed into a wooded area. A 19-year-old vehicle occupant from Altheim (Braunau district) suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident and died at the scene of the accident. The 20-year-old accident driver was brought to the University Hospital in St. Pölten with the rescue helicopter “Christophorus 2” with injuries of an unspecified degree. Two other inmates, 18 (also from Altheim) and 19 years old, were taken to the Freistadt University Hospital by the ambulance service. Significant property damage occurred on the vehicle.
