Drivers needed the most patience on the Fern Pass route (B179) towards Germany. Around 11 a.m., around 1.5 hours were lost on the approximately 34-kilometer route between Nassereith and Reutte. Before the Lermooser tunnel traffic in the direction of Füssen was only channeled through in blocks from around 8.30 a.m. Also in Zillertal the tin columns, especially out of the valley, sometimes only made progress at walking pace or not at all.
According to the ARBÖ, block handling also took place in front of the Brettfall tunnel from around 8.30 a.m. Around five kilometers of traffic jams with up to 30 minutes more travel time had to be taken by drivers on the Arlberg expressway (S16) towards Arlberg between Pettneu and St. Anton.
