Corona: Linz “anger landlady” is in prison for 5,000 euros

The 52-year-old woman became known beyond national borders in 2021 because she ignored the corona-related lockdown. She opened her restaurant in downtown Linz, and there were also various problems with the mask requirement.

“I’m on my way to jail, I don’t really have time,” said the landlady yesterday, Friday, during a phone call to the crown. For the woman, prison means the police detention center. According to its own statements, it cannot pay the administrative fine. She is now supposed to sit for 42 days.
