We continue to work with allies to seek accountability for Iran’s brutal crackdown“said State Department spokesman Ned Price on his Twitter account.
For her part, the European Union was “dismayed” and called “once again on the Iranian authorities to immediately end the highly condemnable practice of pronouncing and carrying out death sentences against protesters”. Through a statement signed by Nabila Massrali, spokesperson for the head of community diplomacy, she described it as “a definitive punishment that makes possible judicial errors irreversible.”
