After 17 years at the Chamber of Commerce in Linz, 38-year-old Cornelia Schwab has now moved to Steyr. At the turn of the year, the mother of two from Asten took over the management of the WK district office in Steyr, where she replaced Michael Schaubmeier. The Mühlviertler goes back to his home in Rohrbach to take over the management of the district office.
For Schwabl it is in a way a return to her roots. She graduated from the commercial academy in Steyr, where she graduated in 2005. She then immediately began working at the WK in Linz and studied business administration alongside her job. After completing her studies, the 38-year-old now wants to start her career in Steyr.
She sees a great challenge and opportunity for the region in the mixture of large-scale industry, medium-sized companies and trade. In her work, she wants to build on existing successful concepts, says Schwabl: “With initiatives such as IT experts or habitat Ennstal, Steyr has long been a pioneer in many areas.” Schwabl received advance praise from WK chairperson Judith Ringer and WK chairperson Eduard Riegler .
