After a small glitch in the draw, the four communities went out on the lanes with great motivation and zest for action, as they do every year.
Matches over six turns were held. The quartet around debutant Kurt Haslinger (Askö), former mayor Gerald Hacklwho became the ex aequo record winner with his fourth win overall, Stefan Minichberger (Union) and trout icon Hans Samwald won the title and thus the challenge cup. Second place went to Manfred Pils, Thomas Kaliba (both Askö), City Councilor for Sports Christian Baumgarten and Hans Jorg Rangger (Municipal Steyr). The bronze medal was secured after a strong performance Gaby Vollenhofer, Julia Ecker (both magistrates), Gunther Vollenhofer (Asko) and Fritz Hampel (Union). Dietger Greisinger (Union), Robert Plank (Asvo), Andrew Eckhart (Styria) and Hans Greinocker (Askö) had to be content with “Blech”. Afterwards we talked shop and celebrated with the obligatory roast.
