“My position is very clear. A dimension for 60 people is generally fine, but the location is completely unsuitable for asylum accommodation next to a school and in the middle of a residential area,” says SPÖ Deputy Mayor Peter Stummer, adding: “I have very great understanding for the concerns of the residents. You leave them out in the rain with their fears and concerns.” He learned about the planned accommodation in the fall, as did his fellow FPÖ deputy mayor, Thomas Dim, from the media. The OÖN reported on the current state of affairs on Tuesday.
“Even though I’m clearly against the location, it’s now a matter of integrating the refugees quickly and getting them jobs,” says Stummer.
