On Tuesday afternoon, near Steinbach, a male diver was rescued dead from the Attersee at the Ofen entry point. This was confirmed by the police at 4:15 p.m. Details of the man’s identity are not known. It may have been a diving accident.
According to initial information, the man is said to have been spotted about 100 meters from the shore floating on the water surface. After he was pulled out of the water, an ambulance from the Martin 3 rescue helicopter tried to revive him, unfortunately without success. The diver may have been unaccompanied.
