The cuisine – especially those from the Mühlviertel – has always been an essential part of the colorful variety of creativity in the mük (“Mühlviertel Creative House”) in Freistadt’s old town. In addition to handicrafts and art, the handicraft shop in the Samtgasse not only offers numerous culinary delicacies from handicraft production from the Mühlviertel, but also cooking and delicacies seminars time and again. From the day after tomorrow, special delicacies from the local range can be tasted in the mük on Fridays from 4 p.m. The respective producers are always personally available for explanations and recipe tips and are happy to receive direct feedback from the tasters. So when it says: The mük invites you to a tasting, then you can be sure that you will get to know new products, dedicated producers and delicious recipes first-hand.
The new event format is being organized by herb specialist Romana Marihart from Katsdorf (Romana’s Kräuterei), who, together with event cook Margareta Wollinger, heads the idea group of culinarians in the Mühlviertel Kreativ association: “Personal contact with consumers is very important to us. And that is exactly what is possible in the mük in a particularly beautiful setting,” says Marihart.
Admission to the tasting room is free, the products offered for tasting and much more can be purchased to take away.
