Until tonight, neither the number of documents found, nor their content, nor the places where they were located had been revealed, according to the Europa Press news agency.
This new finding was made known two days after the first one, which occurred on November 2, was released.
That time, Biden’s lawyers found a dozen classified documents in an office that the president used between 2017 and 2019.
The president’s aides said they immediately turned the material over to the National Archives and brought the matter to the attention of the Justice Department.
“I don’t know what the documents contain; I was informed of the discovery and I was surprised to learn that there were government documents that were taken to that office,” Biden said yesterday in Mexico, after the North American summit.
Some of the first documents found contained matters related to Iran, the United Kingdom and Ukraine, according to sources in the case cited by the US press also yesterday.
Those first documents, found in the office that Biden used between 2017 and 2019 at the Penn Biden Center, a “think tank” in Washington, were mostly dated between 2013 and 2017.
Biden was Obama’s vice president in 2009-17.
