Most recently, a van with an electric drive was purchased. “For us, this is a first step towards a greener vehicle fleet,” says Mayor Fritz Robeischl. “In addition, we only drive the vehicle for short distances, which is why it is well suited for our purposes. The vehicle can also be charged inexpensively, since there is a PV system on almost all community roofs.”
The van is the third investment in the municipal building yard this year. A crawler mower had already been purchased beforehand in order to be able to maintain the retention basins of the wastewater treatment plant. A multifunctional municipal vehicle was also purchased, which can be used to clean the new town square, mow lawns and carry out winter service.
