For more than 15 years, the night bus line 563, better known as “night owls” in the Vöcklabruck district, has been bringing passengers (especially young people) safely through the night. Before the Corona pandemic, around 25,000 mainly young passengers used this offer every year.
After failures caused by the corona pandemic and staff shortages, Post AG had to discontinue the line last year. Operations have now resumed. Unfortunately, short-term absences due to increased sick leave and the tense personnel situation cannot be completely ruled out. The OÖ Verkehrsverbund therefore recommends checking the OÖVV app before each journey.
The popular night bus runs via Attnang-Puchheim, Regau, Vöcklabruck, Lenzing, Kammer-Schörfling and Seewalchen. “The night owl” is always on the road on Fridays and Saturdays and on the nights before public holidays from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. to bring the mostly young passengers home safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
