From the first jumper, a duel between Austria and Poland developed for victory. The host team, which included three athletes from the top five of the Four Hills Tournament in Dawid Kubacki, Piotr Zyla and Kamil Stoch, was 2.9 points ahead at half time, to the delight of the enthusiastic spectators.
In the second round, Tschofenig put the ÖSV-Adler in the lead, Hayböck and Fettner extended the lead to 16.1 points. Kraft couldn’t keep up with Kubacki at the end, but his 123.5 m was enough to get the narrow win. Only nine teams started.
