A 28-year-old car driver from the Linz-Land district drove around 2:10 p.m. in Haid on the B139. His 27-year-old wife, her 4-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old from the Kirchdorf district drove with him. In the area of the Ikea intersection, the 28-year-old intended to continue in the direction of Neuhofen/Krems, i.e. straight ahead across the intersection.
At the same time, a 27-year-old, also from the Linz-Land district, was driving her car from the Haid motorway exit in the direction of the EKZ Haid Center. At that time, the traffic light was set to flash yellow. The driver of the car overlooked the 28-year-old who, from her point of view, was coming on the right and there was a collision between the two vehicles.
The couple, their daughter and the 27-year-old car driver were injured and taken to a hospital in Linz for further treatment after the ÖRK Traun provided first aid.
