Andie Gabauer almost goes into raptures when he talks about Peter Gabriel. He calls him an exceptional musician who brought an “almost intellectual approach” to pop and rock music. “It sounded better than anything at the time,” says Gabauer, who vividly recalls his excitement when he first heard 1986’s “Sledgehammer.”
On January 21, Gabauer has enough time and space to bring Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and their band Genesis closer to an audience. He will do this together with his Upper Austrian musician colleagues from The Tribute. Gabauer, Richi Koch, Diana Jirkuff, Bruno Bründlinger, Manfred Puchner, Christian Lettner, Gerald Landschützer, Christian Einheller and Harald Christian Enzenhofer will recall hits like “Biko”, “In The Air Tonight” or “Invisible Touch” in a proven form and put it in the limelight using multimedia.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at www.posthof.at or at the box office. (rgr)
