There are more and more ways to go to the authorities that can be avoided and that can be done from the computer. More services will be added this year. In the future, construction processes will be largely handled digitally. A pilot project is scheduled to start in the second quarter. The ultimate goal is that the entire process, from submission to completion, can be handled digitally.
A project to digitize long-term parking cards will also be implemented in the current year. Funding will also be digitized by the first quarter of 2024. All documents required for voluntary funding should be submitted online and around the clock and subsequently also processed digitally.
Another project aims to make data about the city of Linz easier and accessible to everyone. In addition to existing offers such as digitally available development plans, a list of drinking fountains or a solar roof cadastre, more are to be added.
Make data usable for everyone
In addition, urban research is working on making its comprehensive wealth of data – from traffic to childcare – usable by means of “Data Excellence”. With the “DX_Linz” pilot project, existing data is to be catalogued, classified and made usable in an interleaved manner.
